Over 100 skaters and supporters rode down Baker Street yesterday escorted by local police and fire dept. At the gathering speakers reinforced that as a group the Nelson skatepark is more likely to succeed.

TY S: Started skating in the 80's when the surf was flat in his home town of Moana Beach, South Australia. Rekindled the flow once he came to Canada in 98' Main blogger for bcskateboarding.org SHUGGY M: Loves Skateboarding, skated since 1967 since the age of 9. Skated Vancouver from 1976 till 1986 with my spar Carver. Played music professionally for the past 30 years and skated casually. Skateboarding only 45 years young and growing strong.
