Come down to Castlegar Skatepark on Sunday June 5th for the third stop of the 2011 Kootenay Skateboard Series. Along with all the fun stuff they have the unveiling of a memorial bench for JOSH EVIN from his mum and also the Wall of Fame plaque.

Great idea for Canadian skateboarders to get some riding in with the pros. The vid below from the Toronto comp shows the fantastic turnout but why are no helmets been worn?

EVENT BLURB: Not content to let America, Europe and Japan have all the fun with Element’s Make It Count roaming contest series they’ve also thrown Canada into the mix. Starting May 7th in Toronto, Element is taking to the road for qualifier contests. The first place finalists in Toronto, Montreal, Edmonton and Vancouver get an all-expenses-paid trip to Element’s YMCA Skate Camp. Once there they will compete with the finalists from the other countries for an Element sponsorship followed by a session at The Berrics with the Element Team.
