The Michael Hinde Memorial Fund for Child/Youth Life Enrichment supports children and youth in Castlegar to access positive activities/endeavors where financial barriers are a defining factor in limiting or preventing their access to these opportunities. Additionally the fund not only supports the first time experience but to sustain this over time if the child or youth wishes to continue participating.
This years fundraiser prize is a complete skateboard supplied from Black Russian Skate and Apparel.
Over the years the fund has supported a number of sports activities and a variety of life enriching experiences including; Soccer, Lacrosse, Purchase of sports equipment, Swimming, Horseback riding, Judo, Summer Camps, Art Camps, Recreation, Summer Day Camps, Baby Sitting Courses, Gym passes for teens, Dance, Figure Skating, Art Supplies and Camping Supplies.
The draw for the skateboard is 3:00p.m. on Tuesday Aug. 2 at Castlegar & District Community Services Society.
