Miner Threat 2

A very warm day greeted skateboarders for the 2nd Miner Threat Mini Ramp Jam in Rossland, BC. There was a buzz at the ramp as this land will be the site of  the 15,000 sq ft concrete heaven.

In the Under 14′s Levi Peirson of Winlaw just edged out Cosmo Rich of Nelson and Phalen Miller of Slocan.

In the 15+ group ten skaters pushed themselves to show the spectators some grassroots skateboarding. After a good jam session Cosmo Rich of Nelson took first place followed by Tross of Rossland and Justin Moroz of Blewitt in third.

Best trick ended up being a skate off between Tross of Rossland (white helmet) and Trevor Frame of Castlegar (skating). Trevor got the nod from the skaters in the end.

As this was the last event of the 2011 Kootenay Skateboard Series we were happy to have forfilled our mission of bringing Kootenay skateboarders together to share the joy of skateboarding.

Big thanks to all the contest organizers, spectators, local and series sponsors.
