Great to see some regular time slots available to skate the Salmo Skatebowl. This is due to the solid volunteers who continue to make Salmo a must go destination for skateboarding here in the West Kootenay’s. FMI
Because of the strong implication of a small group of skateboarding soldiers, The Big-O won’t be destroyed, but moved 30ft down from where it actually is situated now. It even has been officially declared Olympic Heritage Skateboarding Spot…source Skirtboarders

The RSA will be giving a short presentation to update everyone on their progress to date, future goals and an outline of our design process. A survey will also be handed out to gain feedback on what skate features the skaters would like to ride and how the skatepark design can complement the surrounding area.
Street to Snow, is reporting that Leeside might be in jeopardy if the new plan goes on with out regard for those that use Leeside….get down to the meeting.

the VSBC have been attending these meetings and they said we didnt have anything to worry about but sometimes the city gets sneaky and so please come out tomorrow in support in keeping the tunnel mostly as is and have a walk through bike path just like it is ……
