Kamloops mum fights skateboarding sons bylaw fine

“A  B.C. Supreme Court judge had strong words for Kamloops bylaw staff this week, calling their prosecution of a frustrated mother frivolous…
The dispute began when city bylaw staff impounded Shaw’s son’s skateboard for illegal skateboarding, as well as the broken, wheelless board he had stored at home.”

Nelson unites

Over 100 skaters and supporters rode down Baker Street yesterday escorted by local police and fire dept. At the gathering speakers reinforced that as a group the Nelson skatepark is more likely to succeed.
