The Spot destroyed

I was just in Oakland a week ago on my way to SF for my wedding anniversary. We had travelled from the Kootenay’s down. It is ignorant that CALTRAN found as many “issues” as possible to shut down a place where skaters could find some peace from the ratrace. Next on their hit list Bordertown.

Pro’s selling out?

I am all for people earning a living but it seems like some skaters are becoming walking billboards for mega companies. For example Van shredders Ryan and Scott Decenzo , and Oakville’s Mark Appleyard, have joined the Arnette “skate team family” which is owned by www.luxottica.com.Check out this report on their current MARKET CAP $$$$$$$$$ .

So for all you punters out there that means that if you are buying anyone of their brands you are contributing to their overall company value of $14,800,000,000 . I ask you, are they really interested in skateboarders????\

Anyhow the skateboarding in good>
