A warm day greeted the 30+ riders for the third Gnar in the Gar.

Beginning with the Grom Girls the crowd were treated to some smooth style. At the end of their runs Adelle Campbell from Castlegar nudged ahead of Linda Reitan of Castlegar followed by Libby Hartel of Blewitt.
The under 14 riders from Slocan, Nelson, Blewitt, Salmo and Castlegar rolled next. A tight battle insued with Cosmo Rich of Nelson taking the win followed by an equal second between Kenton Riebalkin of Castlegar and Levi Peirson of Winlaw.
DJ E-Lev-8 fired up the beats and the fun times continued into the hot afternoon.
The 15+ riders from Rossland, Nelson and Castlegar put on a high level trick display. Tross aka Rossland Jesus shredded his way through the two runs, along with Stephan of Nelson, Cody Pottery and Trevor Frame both of Castlegar. After a three way tie for second organizers gave Stephan, Cody and Tross another minute to show their stuff. In the end Trevor flew into first followed by Stephan in second and Cody third.
The womens division had three skateboarders. Super lines were skated by the ladies. At the end of the time: Charlene Lee of Salmo took first place, Mia Sandner of Nelson second, Kezia Bahlmann of Bonnington was third.
Two BMX riders, Chester Mair and Tanner McNeil, rode for 5 minutes. Chester showed off his technical skills while Tanner just outright boosted all transitions and the bowl. First went to Tanner.
To round out the the day The Savages blasted some awesome surf punk sounds so the 30+ Salty Dogs could show all what it means to live for skateboarding. Five skaters skated with old school and new school tricks and at the end Justin Moroz of Blewitt took first followed by Tom Reimer of Salmo and Nato Goers of Slocan.
