A June 22nd story from NDN re the latest for KLOPS…read on

Over 70 people in attendance experienced grassroots skateboarding at it’s finest. Thanks to all the volunteers, Elliot and Shane for their organization of this memorable event, Drunk Uncle and DJ Ryan Wells.

Over 100 skaters and supporters rode down Baker Street yesterday escorted by local police and fire dept. At the gathering speakers reinforced that as a group the Nelson skatepark is more likely to succeed.

Nelson City Council has adopted their revised TRAFFIC BY-LAW……which includes NO SKATEBOARDING ON CITY STREETS….for more info

NDYC  has now been renovated including a new  hip ramp and resurfacing with Skatelite.
