Salmo Xpression Session 17.10.09
A great time was had by all who attended the Salmo Xpression Session at the Salmo Youth Center Sk8board Park. The skatepark session was part of the Salmo Fall Festivities Day Oct. 17th 09. Hosted by Sk8 park supervisor Tom Reimer and other Salmo skaters. The park is run by local volunteers who commit time to keeping it open. This is a beautiful bowl, pretty roomy for an indoor structure ( it can be carved ), and it is in great condition. Also a number of Slocan Valley, Castlegar and Nelson skateboarders were in attendance taking advantage of the indoor facility while it poured rain Saturday. All in all a great time, good skating to some good tunes and tons of lines and rad moves with a bunch of cool skaters in Salmo.

Spring Break May 2009… at Rotary Sk8board park Castlegar, Session & BBQ
These shots are of the spring break Sk8 BBQs that took place at the Rotary Skate park in Castlegar, hosted by the Station Youth Center, Freedom Quest, Castlegar and District Community Complex, Stanley Humphries Secondary School, Black Russian Skate and Apparel.
Kathyrn Kimmerly and her youth worker colleagues were great hosts providing music and food for the skaters in this special event atmosphere…there will be more events to come like this.

July 18th, 2009 bcskateboarding.org was involved in the celebratory opening of the Tenacity Skatepark in Slocan City, BC. We had many awesome photos come out of this day. This montage is from photojournalist Adam Gagnon.
